Tackling Big Data: New Business Analytics Certificate

Fairfield University’s Dolan School of Business is now offering a certificate program in business analytics. Designed for individuals in need of fundamental knowledge in the area of business analytics, either to better perform in a current position or to become more marketable for a future role, the certificate allows individuals to take four courses and earn 12 credits. For working professionals who are wrestling with big data, the graduate certificate is an excellent entry point.

Mark Ligas, PhD, associate dean and director of graduate programs at the Dolan School of Business shared, “As more businesses struggle with how best to organize, analyze and interpret big data, analytics-educated individuals are in increasingly high demand.”

This fall-start certificate is also a good option for people who are unable to commit to the MS in business analytics degree. Should professionals decide to pursue the MS BA, the 12 certificate credits can be applied to the master’s degree if the individual is accepted into the program.
