The Quick Center’s War Stories Remounted at Brooklyn Academy of Music

Monologues based on the real-life experiences of veterans as they battle with addiction, homelessness, love and loss were the basis for WAR STORIES: A Veterans Project, a unique and collaborative theater event held at the Quick Center for the Arts this spring.

The project, backed by the National Endowment for the Arts, the Connecticut Office of the Arts and Fairfield’s Quick Center, was a collaboration between writer Sonya Huber, artist Nina Bentley and theatre-maker Peter Van Heerden, who is director of the Quick Center.

After sold-out premiere performances, War Stories will be remounted at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) for a special one-night-only performance on June 22.
