Fairfield Nationally Ranked

Four organizations recently shone a spotlight on Fairfield, praising it for being a top school in the North, a leading business school, friendly to the military, and just plain cool.

U.S.News & World Report‘s 2010 edition of America’s Best Colleges placed Fairfield in the number four spot among “Best Universities-Master’s” in the North. This is the 19th year in a row that Fairfield has been in the top four.

Fairfield was also cited in the report among “Great Schools, Great Prices,” where it ranked just above Loyola College Maryland. That selection is based on academic ranking and the net cost of attendance for a student who receives the average level of need-based financial aid.

For the fifth year in a row, the Princeton Review featured the Dolan School of Business in the 2010 edition of The Best 301 Business Schools.

In addition, The Sierra Club, the oldest, largest, and most influential grassroots environmental organization, named Fairfield one of the nation’s “Cool Schools,” citing its “eco-enlightened” efforts. Fairfield ranked second among the four Connecticut schools to make the list of 135.

GI Jobs recently named Fairfield as a 1020 Military Friendly School, ranking the University in the top 15 percent of all colleges, universities, and trade schools nationwide. The University was included in a special Guide to Military Friendly Schools published last year.
