Stags Give Back

The Class of 2014 showed their philanthropic spirit, with more than 30 percent of the class participating in the annual Senior Class Gift — an increase of 24 percent since 2010. The gift is part of the eforts of Stags Give Back, the University’s student philanthropy group. “We were really thrilled to see so many students participate and show their pride for Fairfield,” said Kimberly LoPiano ’04, director of young alumni and student philanthropy, who oversees Stags Give Back. There were 308 donors overall.

Students could designate their contribution to a scholarship for a rising senior or in support of sustainable environmental campus projects. As important as the donations was the awareness raised among students that gifts from Fairfield alumni support the University in a multitude of ways, and that “giving back” happens every day through donations of time and talent — not just dollars.

“The students themselves helped show that giving back is a huge part of why future students will have the same amazing experiences they are having right now,” said LoPiano.
